| Program | ||
The 2006 conference will be held in Perth, Western Australia – renowned for its pristine beaches, fabulous wine and food and breathtaking natural scenery. The conference offers pre or post conference options including gourmet wine tours and recreational packages. The program will be held over three days from Monday July 10 to Wednesday July 12. The conference will be held at The University of Western Australia adjacent to the Swan River. All registrants will be provided with complimentary membership of the University Club during their attendance. This enables use of the Restaurant, Café and other facilities at any time during the conference. The club provides an ideal venue for meeting colleagues and exploring mutual interests. Social activities will include a cocktail reception and dinner. |
||
| Program overview | ||
| The 2006 programme is shaping into an exciting and innovative
offering. Some of the features are listed below. Pre-conference colloquia relating to higher education leadership, teaching and learning and research will be offered on the Sunday July 9, 2006. The colloquia, which are scheduled for Sunday July 9, 2006, offer participants the opportunity to share and discuss pressing issues relating to policy and practice in these areas in a more intensive manner. The sessions will enable strong collegial interaction and the sharing of insights from our many international visitors. Many conferences can be frustrating because there is insufficient time to explore common issues and strategies. The colloquia will be particularly attractive to those hoping to build some stronger professional or research collaborations. HERDSA Fellows will also meet on the Sunday. A range of activities will be featured in the programme. Keynote speakers, symposia, workshops, poster presentations are but a few of the intellectual activities which we have planned. The programme will offer many interactive sessions and a range of stimulating explorations of current issues. Social functions will include a Welcoming Cocktail function; a concluding dinner, a HERDSA Fellows wine and cheese function, and collegial dinners at local restaurants. |
