Griffith University is proud to host the HERDSA 2011 conference Higher Education on the Edge at the Radisson Resort on the beautiful Queensland Gold Coast. Our deliberately ambiguous theme was chosen to reflect the edgy, uncertain and intellectually challenging times we face in higher education. Research domains for the conference include:

• Academic practice, work and identities
• Learning, teaching, assessment and curriculum
• Quality and standards in higher education
• Leadership, management, governance and policy in higher education
• Student pathways, experiences, expectations and outcomes

We are pleased to be working in partnership with colleagues from several Queensland universities to bring to you a uniquely “Queensland-style” conference. All conference activities will take place in the resort complex, allowing you plenty of time to meet with colleagues between events for a chat and a drink as you look out over the lush golf course greens and lakes.
