Student voices

Are you a student? Would you like to make your voice heard at the 2021 conference of HERDSA?

If so, read on!

HERDSA (Higher Education Research & Development Society of Australasia) is the premier scholarly society for people committed to the advancement of higher education and promotes the development of higher education policy and practice and the study of teaching and learning in Australasia. Members mainly come from Australia and New Zealand with HERDSA communities in some of our near neighbours including Hong Kong and Singapore.

HERDSA always welcomes student participation in our conferences. This year we want to hear student’s stories, your ideas and opinions about higher education and your experiences. Add your voice in a short video. A selection of the video statements will be played during the HERDSA 2021 conference.  Students from any country, discipline and academic level (e.g. Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) are invited to submit a video.

The best video will receive a $250 book voucher kindly donated by Thomson Reuters. All selected videos will be included on the conference website.

Good image and audio quality and clarity of message will be factors in the choosing the videos to include in the conference, but our main aim is to have a diversity of student voices, topics and opinions.

The deadline to submit a video is May 31st. We will advise everyone of the outcome before the conference.
