The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is a world-class purpose-built venue renowned for its operational and service excellence. The Centre is located in a unique urban cultural and entertainment precinct in the heart of Brisbane.

The Centre is in a convenient location with easy access to all forms of transport, along with a range of hotels all within walking distance. It is only a five-minute walk away from South Bank Parklands where there are very attractively presented gardens, tourist activities, shopping, food outlets, purpose-built sandy beaches and swimming lagoons and museums including Australia’s newest and most celebrated Gallery of Modern Art.

During their visit delegates can take a brief time out from their conference to experience South Bank’s many attractions. Downtown Brisbane is just across the Brisbane River where there is excellent shopping and dining.

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is officially rated among the top three convention centres in the world by the Association Internationale des Palais de Congres (AIPC).   • Relax at Streets Beach – Brisbane’s unique man-made beach and swimming lagoon in the parkland.
  • Learn about Queensland’s natural history at the Queensland Museum.
  • Walk or cycle along the riverside to Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park and take in the view!
  • Across the river from South Bank is the city centre, and this is accessible for pedestrians over Victoria Bridge.

  • A popular way to explore Brisbane is via the City Cat services, which operate regularly along with a network of 25 riverside terminals. Paper tickets can be purchased on board the City Cat vessel (cash only) and are valid for a two-hour period.
